3. Local storage & IndexedDB
In addition to cookies, the kiosk uses browser local storage and IndexedDB to enable offline functionality. When the kiosk is offline, Gift Aid declarations are stored temporarily in IndexedDB on the device and automatically synced to our servers when connectivity returns. This data is cleared once synced successfully.
